How we handle personal data

DRAFT: fill in the details in square brackets and have it reviewed before publishing. The Italian version is the reference text.

Data controller

[Company name], [address], VAT number [number], email info@draftneer.com.

What we collect

Through the pilot trial form: full name, company, email, phone if you give it, role, Inventor version, the kinds of parts you design and the message you write.

The site uses no profiling cookies and no advertising trackers.

Why, and on what basis

To answer your request and arrange the Draftneer pilot trial (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, steps taken at your request before a contract).

For how long

As long as needed to handle the request and the pilot trial, and no longer than [24 months] after the last contact, unless the law requires otherwise.

Who processes the data for us

The provider that hosts the site and receives the forms ([e.g. Netlify, Inc.]), appointed as data processor. Data is never sold or passed on to third parties.

Your rights

You can ask at any time for access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, and object to its processing, by writing to info@draftneer.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).

The Draftneer software

Draftneer works inside Autodesk Inventor on your computer: models and drawings stay on your PC. Nothing reaches us, except when you choose to use one of the services below. “Learn from my drawings” reads the drawings on your PC and sends nothing.

The Draftneer services: company profile and AI help

They are optional and work with your license key, from the add-in or from the profile page on this site.

Customer area. If you sign in to the customer area of this site we keep your email address, the date you created the access and the date of your last sign-in, and which companies you linked to; if you download the add-in, also the version downloaded and the date; if you activate the trial key, the company name you enter and the key itself, so you can find it again. There is no password: at each sign-in we send you an email with a link and a code. Your browser keeps the session (in the site's local storage, not in a cookie) until you sign out.

License key. When you use a service the key reaches us. We keep the license holder and email written in the key, its expiry, a fingerprint of the key (not the key itself) and the dates of first and last use.

Company profile. If you save it, we keep the company name, the logo and the drawing rules, to hand them to your workstations. They stay until you change them or ask us to delete them.

AI help (“Describe in words” in the add-in, the same step on the profile page). The text, images and PDFs you send are read by an artificial intelligence model to work out the drawing rules. We do not keep them. One line is kept per request: when, for which company, how large the material was and what the reading cost. Do not send personal data or anything that must not leave your company.

Legal basis. Performance of the license contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Who processes this data for us. [Netlify, Inc.] for the site and the services, processing in the United States; [Supabase] for the database and for the customer-area sign-ins, in the European Union (Frankfurt); [Resend, Inc.] to send the customer-area sign-in emails; [OpenRouter, Inc.] and [Anthropic] for the artificial intelligence model, in the United States, with the request not to use the data for training. For transfers outside the European Union: [safeguard to be stated, for example standard contractual clauses].

For how long. License data and the profile for the duration of the license and [12 months] after; usage lines for [24 months]; the customer-area access until you ask us to delete it, and in any case no longer than [24 months] after your last sign-in.
